These sculptures are blown from a series of molds that I casted from the body. They are photographed at different times of the day. These figures in their stillness reflect the movement of the tides and the animated light of the sun, the source of life. What appears to be empty is actually full.

Make sense of the selfie… a poetic dimension, beyond the apparent ego trip. An image that distracts from seeing true self. We see ourselves, we grow into a new being, or is it when we see our reflection, we’re blind to everyone else.

CHROMED PLASTER CARVED IN WOOD, 2015

I spent 3 yrs painting in Oceania in pursuit of defining beauty for myself. I found cultures still engaged with cannibalism, people that lived in the trees, and societies that used stones as currency. In a noonday dream, a woman is planted with a thousand flowers, her pulse flushed with color.

These videos were shot in Salar de Uyuni, the Salt Dessert in Bolivia. Here, the elements of my mind and the physical world are one creation, one consciousness. In this space, nothing has a separate independent self.
